Planting beds, stone steps and a fire pit terrace

The grade between the deck and the garden is taken up in natural stone steps, set into a broad pine straw bed planted with loropetalum, liriope and low evergreens. The bed edge sweeps well out from the house so the slope reads as garden rather than as a bank.

At the bottom the steps land on a gravel terrace with a fire pit and a fountain against the retaining wall. Path lights run the length of the steps. Landscaping, hardscapes and landscape lighting.
